Kelprojektas held “Transport Infrastructure Innovations 2013” conference, which took place on 9 May 2013 in Vilnius. Up-to-date solutions for traffic safety security, exclusive railway projects, and intellectual transport systems were just a part of subjects, discussed by the specialists from Lithuania, Sweden, and Germany.
“We invited our colleagues from Lithuania and foreign countries to review the innovations and share the ideas on the future of the Lithuanian transport infrastructure. Kelprojektas is a responsible part of business community. Since our company grants extraordinary attention to innovations, we also aspire after propagating innovations in our state in order to modernize the transport infrastructure in Lithuania and for it to keep up with the best global practice”, emphasized Algimantas Medžiaušis, CEO of UAB Kelprojektas.
The attendees of “Transport Infrastructure Innovations 2013” conference represented the biggest infrastructure companies and institutions in the country. The event was attended by over 100 representatives from the Lithuanian Road Administration, AB Lietuvos geležinkeliai, construction companies, regional road companies, Lithuanian municipalities, etc.
At the conference considerable attention was granted to infrastructure as well as modernization of both motorways and railways. The announcement on the implementation of Rail Baltica project in Lithuania and other Baltic countries was read by Antanas Zenonas Kaminskas, Head of Rail Baltica Project Authorities. Eskil Sellgren, the representative of one of the leading engineering companies in the world – WSO Europe (Sweden), presenting the state-of-the-art railway station projects in the United Kingdom and Sweden, shared his experience in developing and implementing exclusive railway infrastructure projects.
Egidijus Skrodenis, Deputy Head of the Lithuanian Road Administration, reviewed the intellectual transport system innovations and options of application thereof in our country, whereas Nemunas Abukauskas, the Head of Traffic Safety Department of the Administration presented the up-to-date traffic safety statistics as well as the activities to ensure the safety.
At the conference the announcement was also read by Christoph Bernhard, Head of German-based company ITS-United, who presented the most innovative solutions for collecting and processing the transport traffic data.
