The implementation of this main entrance project to Klaipėda is relevant not only for the port city, but also for the whole of Lithuania, as it is a strategically important connection with the city and the port.

First of all, the reconstruction project of Baltijos avenue, Šilutė road (including the section to the entrance to Dubysas St.) and Vilnius road roundabout will be implemented. After that, the reconstruction of the viaducts over the railway will be started.

Two overpasses have been designed, which will connect Vilnius highway with Baltijos avenue in both directions above the roundabout. The capacity of the roundabout will also be increased. The project envisages the installation of two underpasses under the roundabout for pedestrians.

Engineering networks will also be modernized – lighting, communications, heat supply, gas, water supply and sewage systems.
