Project of reconstruction of the stretches of the A12 highway Riga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningrad

Kelprojektas implements the project of reconstruction of the stretches of the A12 highway Riga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningrad. Engineering works cover 50.22 km of total length of the road.

The specialists of Kelprojektas are preparing the reconstruction designs for over 150 road structures located in the stretches of the highway between Riga and Kaliningrad: 70 access ramps, 22 crossings, 36 bus stops, 30 culverts, 4 bridges, 5 viaducts, etc. Also, with a view to improve traffic safety, traffic islands are designed in the road stretches.

Besides the usual renovation and widening of the road as well as reconstruction of the parts of the road, the designs for renovation of engineering networks, electricity transmission line, and lightening system are prepared for the stretches of the A12 highway.

Engineering works are planned to be finalized in September 2015.
