Tyréns is making a strategic move in Lithuania with the acquisition of Kelprojektas. Through the acquisition, „Tyréns“ is enhancing the range of services that it offers and expands its infrastructure operations. Kelprojektas’ operations will continue under the existing name and brand.
Kelprojektas is Lithuania’s largest infrastructure consultancy and is also active in the fields of design, water, geotechnics, the environment, traffic, planning and landscape architecture.
The company is primarily involved with project engineering and design relating to bridges, railways and roads, but also offers services within design, water, geotechnics, the environment, traffic, planning and landscape architecture. In Sweden, Kelprojektas operates through the company ICCON, which is also included in the acquisition together with the companies Urbanistika and Kelvista in Lithuania.
“The acquisition of Kelprojektas represents an important step in our efforts to grow in key markets and a way of developing an even stronger international offering. We already know each other well from previous collaborative projects and have much in common as regards how we work with technical development, how we approach our customer’s challenges and the values that guide us,” said Johan Dozzi, CEO at Tyréns.
Kelprojektas has a total of just over 250 staff at three offices in Lithuania. ICCON’s office is in Stockholm. Together, the companies have a turnover of around EUR 10 million.
Tyréns and Kelprojektas have successfully worked together on the project engineering and design for the Tvärförbindelse Södertörn link road. The partnership will continue to be coordinated by ICCON, which provides an important link between the companies.
“We are very pleased about the stronger partnership with Tyréns. Together with Tyréns, we can continue to offer the best of an independent, advisory consultant, whilst at the same time having access to multidisciplinary services on an international market when our customers need them,” said Algimantas Medžiaušis, CEO at Kelprojektas.
