As cities expand and urbanizes new areas, it becomes increasingly important to pay attention to sustainable spatial planning and sustainable solutions that respond to topics such as: protecting existing ecosystems, involving landscape specialists, functionally and sustainably use of surface water, creating green energy and energy sharing communities, reducing the carbon footprint of buildings and other engineering infrastructure by assessing the entire life cycle of projects from material selection to their secondary use or disposal, waste reduction, impact compensation studies.
